The Vicar of Wakefield

c. 1910 18th Century piece

Great specimen of 18th Century literature. The green cover has a bump on the corner, but in great condition and spine is intact. Seems to have war-time light-weight paper that has browned. Entire book and hinges are very intact.

Background
Oliver Goldsmith was an Irish writer, dramatist, novelist, essayist with 40 volumes published. He was much like the man he wrote about, the Vicar. This book if from the Library of Mrs. James Walton Jr, my Nana, Ellen Mae Davidson Walton. She was a lover of all the genres and was very specific about her books, like the notation of #128 of her Library and the 1911 date that was probably when she purchased the book.
